Online Stores
When in doubt, online stores such as Amazon can honestly be a lifesaver. Personally, I order products like bread, almond flour, and dairy-free cheese online, and I’ll link some of my favourite finds at the bottom of this page.
Online shopping can be especially helpful if you’re living in Japan long term. Deliveries are often very quick, so if you suddenly realise you’re running low on safe foods, it usually doesn’t take long for things to arrive.
One thing to be mindful of, however, is that ingredient lists are not always fully displayed online. I’ve personally found that reverse image searching products can sometimes help you locate ingredient labels or additional product information elsewhere.
